So ... I wasn't going to go to another con, but I did, and I'm glad. :)
Here's the rundown of Nashcon 2012. (Yes, it was supposed to be in June again, but they moved it up to February due to scheduling conflicts.)
Friday, Feb. 3
My friend Toni and I arrived in the afternoon, settled in, and went to look at the conference rooms so she'd know where they are. Then we were going to go eat. Well, people had already starting camping out for registration, so we lined up and waited. No food for us! (The things we do for our obsession.)
Here are two Nashcon attendees in full regalia, ready for the football-themed karaoke experience later on Friday night.
Once we got through the line, it was almost 8 p.m., time for Friday night's SPN episode to begin! But no one had really planned anything, like a viewing party (tho a few people invited others to their rooms to watch), and we were so starving and tired by then, we went to eat. O.o I know, I know -- blasphemy! But we went and had some awesome sushi and felt better, ready for karaoke and everything!
The Dick & Matt Karaoke Expereince
was as mad and wacky as ever. At this con, not only Richard Speight Jr.
and Matt Cohen
were present and rocking out, but also Sebastian Roche
(who has so much energy, it's downright scary), Rob Benedict
, and late additions Kim Rhodes
and Gabriel Tigerman
. They also made up new t-shirts for the event!
Here are some pics and a video from the karaoke party, which was a free event open to all attendees of the convention!
