• There are weird half-man, half-fly things called Muscas and they apparently have some kind of society where they bury their dead and walk around looking like grieving Victorian widows in black veils.

• Apocalypse World Charlie is not that enamored of hunting even though she's good at it.
• Sam, somehow, still has a positive view of humanity and does not automatically think the worst of people.

• Jack is definitely not okay health-wise.
• Jack is a rather resourceful hunter and not bad at playing different roles (pretending to be interested in Harper the librarian) to get information.

• Dean is becoming truly proud of Jack and it's obvious he really cares about him.

• Jack says "Christo" to see if Harper is a demon; a test that has not been used in a very long time on Supernatural.
  
• Dean refers to Jack as "Mighty Mouse"; an 80's superhero-mouse cartoon.
  
• The first Musca victim, one of Harper's suitors, walks down the street to "Stayin' Alive" from Saturday Night Fever; insinuating that he feels very confident (like John Travolta's character in that movie) when he thinks Harper has agreed to go on a date with him.
