• Dean references the old TV show Mork and Mindy starring Robin Williams when calling Sully "Mork" because of his rainbow suspenders; same as those Williams wore on Mork and Mindy.

• Sully's mistake with Reese and Audrey continues the ever-present theme in Supernatural that everyone, even the supremely well-intentioned, makes a mistake (often a big mistake) sometimes.
