• "Banger" is a British slang term for sausage (or, in the context of Rowena's discussion, male genitalia)
• Waverly Hills Sanatorium is an actual closed sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky that is rumored to be haunted.
• Dean says "Let's bust some ghosts" referring to the 1980s "Ghostbuster" movies. He has joked about him and Sam being ghostbusters before.
• "Casper" is a cartoon ghost known for being friendly.
• "Haggis" is a traditional Scottish dish made from the internal organs of sheep. Rowena may have chosen that "magic word" as a joke on the Winchesters.
• Dean mentioned that he wanted the band Black Sabbath to play at his funeral; and he wants American actor Gary Busey to read his eulogy.
